About Hack The Planet

Welcome to Hack The Planet running on HANGMAN OS. The #1 Hangman Adventure game platform on Earth. Solo developed by myself, Zachary Kosma. I am a self taught engineer, an educator at Atlas School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the founder of Kosma Co Games.

Hack The Planet was originally a game jam game made in 2019 by myself and a small team. I have revamped the game with a new direction and plan for it be a story platform where players can share custom campaigns with others.

The primary theme song, Hack The Planet, is created by OUR•MIDNIGHT, a music composer local to Tulsa, Oklahaoma. You listen to it on Loop if you toggle so in the settings menu.

Hack The Planet is a cyberpunk-themed hangman game where you act as a hacker attempting to break into secure systems.

🎮 Gameplay Basics

Guess letters to reveal the hidden password.
Each incorrect guess increases the Firewall Trace percentage.
Power-ups can help you, but use them wisely.

⚡ Power-Ups

Brute Force – Reveals a random letter. Costs more and raises trace amount.
Dictionary Attack – Removes incorrect letters from the keyboard if you can understand the password structure.
Phishing Attempt – Reveals letter of the password if you can 'phish' the target.

🔥 Firewall Mechanics

The Firewall Trace starts at 0%. Each incorrect guess increases it:

At 50%, you receive a warning.
At 80%, the system detects unusual activity.
At 100%, you're locked out, and the mission fails.

🏆 Winning & Losing

Win: Guess the password before the Firewall Trace reaches 100%.
Lose: If the Firewall Trace reaches 100%, you're locked out.

💡 Advanced Strategies

Tips for mastering Hack The Planet:

Use common letters first (E, T, A, O, I, N).
Be careful for capitalization and special characters.
If the Firewall is close to 100%, use Phishing Attempt or Brute Force.
